About Us

Cameron Freeman, Minister

A native of Montgomery, AL. Cameron demonstrated his belief in God by obeying the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 2002 at the Holt Street Church of Christ. He immersed himself in the Word until he could no longer deny his heart. He is a proud graduate of the Memphis School of Preaching. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree from Amridge University (Montgomery, AL) and earned a Master’s degree from Amridge in Biblical Studies in 2022. Bro. Freeman is a frequent guest speaker on the Digital Bible Study platform and co-hosts a weekly podcast, Make It Plain.

Cameron has served as the Assistant Minister at the Westside Church of Christ in Rockford, Illinois and for four years as the full-time minister of the Tuskegee Church of Christ. Prior to coming to Clarke County Church of Christ, he served for eight years as the minister of Easthaven Church of Christ in Memphis, Tennessee. Brother Freeman has been blessed with a beautiful family. He is happily married to the former Layla Smith of Rockford, IL and they have been blessed with two daughters Chelsi and Chloe. He is a devout man of God who not only loves to study the Bible and preach the Word of God, but he also applies it to his life. His favorite hobbies are studying the Bible, reading, watching movies, and basketball.

Our Vision

We will glorify, worship, and praise the Lord as we share His good news of salvation.

Our Mission

We will glorify and serve God forever (Eph. 3:21). We will love the Lord our God, with all our hearts, with all our souls, with all our minds, and with all our strength. We also will love our neighbors as ourselves (Luke 10:27). We will obey the great commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen.” (Matt. 28:19-20)

Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible teaches that sinners are saved by grace, through faith, repentance, confession, and baptism, and that a Christian must remain faithful until the end. (Heb. 3:14)

The church of Christ originated almost 2000 years ago on the day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts chapter 2. The Church of Christ (Rom 16:16) is not used as a denominational designation, but as a descriptive term indicating that the church belongs to Christ. (Eph. 5:23)
